Nothing better. A very stoned Bobby singing and taking harmonica to a new level. And wearing my favorite suit! The ultimate performance!

Happy Birthday Bob Dylan. I’ve followed you down since 1965. Thanks for all the music through the years. There’s no one like you.

Think about the audience that for the First Time listened to, night by night, Song by Song, these endless Masterpieces.
A totally new way to write/sing & play a popular Song.
Maybe the same impact on their own imagery on seeying Michelangelo's works of art for the very First Time.
Beauty, the real Beauty, in flesh & Bones in front of you. At a certain Moment of your Life you cross Bob's Art
& nothing Will be the same.
Here, the Harmonica solo comes from another Time & Space.
Sometime, He, really, appears as an E.T.
God save Him & keep His Art Forever Young!😀😀😀

I could have gotten lost forever inside that series of soaring harmonica solos. One day Bob will be gone but the footprint that he has left on the arts never will.

Towards the end of the song I realized my mouth had been open all the time, my tongue was dry, and I was sorta gasping for air - Jee can you imagine being at that concert, witnessing that level of intensity ? No wonder people went beserk about him that year, this is beauty overkill, you get it umprepared, it knocks you right out of your way;

Great extended version by BD, I've seen/heard many versions where he omits the 3rd verse, so this was special. As far as his prowess on the harmonica, I think it depends on the listener. Many have trashed Bob's harp playing, saying it's repetitive and simplistic, and that he couldn't hold a candle to real harmonica players like Little Walter. Many point out Jack Bruce's playing on "Traintime" as far superior. On the other side of the coin, none of these so-called masters was playing guitar while they blew their licks on the harp, which makes Dylan's efforts really stand out. In the really early days, when he just showed up for a gig with a guitar case and a pocket full of harmonicas, it was a surreal moment: No amps, no stage monitors, no sound engineer working an audio console. Just Bob and the House PA system, so augmenting his guitar and vocals with the harmonica in the neck rack was real next-level performance for the period. I think there are better harmonica players than Dylan, but no performer ever put in an acoustic guitar performance with a harmonica accompaniment that was better than this.

About halfway through this, just as the ethereal beauty of this amazing performance began to peak, I got two thirty second ads in a row.

Fuck off YouTube.
