Rishi Sunak says ban on disposable vapes is 'right' thing to do

Prime minister Rishi Sunak said the ban on disposable vapes is the "right" thing to do for the health of the country.

Mr Sunak is set to announce the plan to implement the ban – using powers already in place under the Environmental Protection Act – which is expected to come into force at the end of 2024 or the start of 2025, during a visit to a school on Monday.

It forms part of the Government’s response to its consultation on smoking and vaping, which was launched in October last year.

I've been smoking 35 years just got off cigarettes by switching to vaping, I guess I will be going back to tobacco as of right now im finding it near impossible to give nicotine up entirely. It's a fking disgrace. This has to affect a grown adults choice. Vapes come from China mostly, the government make way more money from tobacco than they do vapes, maybe that's the real reason?

Must be frustrating when the tax revenue from cigarettes are being undercut by the much safer and less harmful disposable vape. What's jarring is their attempts to pass it off as them caring for the health of our children. 😂 Like those kids wont just switch to ordinary vapes instead, ban those and they'll switch to ordinary cigarettes. This government is clueless and out of touch and that has been the case for 12 years. Times up.
