ABOUT THE SHOW

Sweden’s 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' creators bring those questions to life in Occupied, a political suspense-thriller that explores themes of loyalty to oneself, one’s family, and one’s country.

Set in a not-so-distant future, after a catastrophic hurricane fuelled by climate change devastates Norway, an idealistic Prime Minister halts all oil production, which sets the country and the rest of the world into crisis. Unable to ignore the impending catastrophe, Russia, at the behest of the EU, stages a soft invasion to secure oil for the rest of the world. Although they say they have every intention of retreating once this has been accomplished, events that unfold quickly turn velvet gloves into iron fists, and no one is safe.

Occupied premieres Thursday, May 5th at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m PT on Pivot.

Norway as the strongest economic entity of Northern Europe but had the weakest military strength. This TV series is full of foresight’s warning Norge government to possess the adequate military strength that matches it’s economic power and resources. Otherwise all its’ blessings could be turned into its’ curses.

The "hero" is a traitor to Norway with his Somali wife and saving the evil Russian woman. This show is a love letter to a homogeneous Norway ❤🇳🇴

These series are full of middle-aged actresses. They not only act greatly, but also make world more beautiful! These series have two redhead stars, Janne Heltberg and Veslemøy Mørkrid, they are insanelly beautiful! Are all ladies like they in Norway?
The plot is too fantastic, Norway refusing to produce oil (50% of GDP income) is like America closing its military industrial complex, but the series are entertaining and worth watching.
Most of actors who speak Russian in the series have a quite good level of Russia for a non-Russian person (I know that some actors are Russians IRL).
