What are NASA's greatest accomplishments over the years?

This video is the first in a three-part series. We go year by year, selecting one major event from each year for the space agency. This first video starts from the creation of NASA in 1958, through the space race, the development and flights of Apollo, and leading to the Space shuttle.

What about the visit of an Apollo mission crew to a crash site of a surveyor lander on the moon!
That was out-worldly and awesome

So IN FIRST 11 years from EXISTENCE, they LANDED 3 guys on the moon in a vehicle that NEVER FLEW BEFORE (Lunar Lander). What HAPPENED TO THAT NASA? Great show 👍🏽 Should have had a base on the moon, or man to Mars by now.

The benefits to humanity in general provided by NASA is hard to calculate. Probably the best use of tax money ever.
I think one of the Pioneer spacecraft is still functional. Maybe not really providing useful data, but one of, if not the oldest, functional spacecraft.
