Be Where Your Feet Are | Alexander Shunnarah

Living in the great State of Alabama I have had the honor and the privilege to watch Nick Saban do a tremendous job with Alabama football. I've taken the opportunity to read most of his books, if not all of his books. There is a particular quote that stuck out to me, "Be where your feet are." It's a principle that he obviously is applying to his football team, but it applies to life. It applies to business. And it obviously applies to me. To me, it means truly realizing you are always going to be where your feet are, so be in that moment, pay attention, and make the most of being there.

At my law firm, everyday, I try to stay in the moment. Of course sometimes you reflect about the past and learn from your mistakes and look ahead to set goals, visions, and ideas. But most days, I'm always where my feet are. I'm in the game. I'm in the moment. I'm trying to get the most value out of that time.

Today marks my journey of taking what I have learned as a lawyer, business owner, and entrepreneur and sharing that knowledge to encourage others.

Lesson 1: Be Where Your Feet Are.
