I've seen him perform in person and he is amazing. A seriously underrated singer. I was amazed that at one point during the show, he put down the microphone and simply sang above the orchestra without any amplification. Yet his voice filled the theater. (He had about 20 musicians with him). He's got a wonderfully powerful voice and good control. And the music he performs is always so tasteful and melodic. Engelbert is first class all the way! An a good stage performer, unlike some artists who just get up there and sing and have no personality.
