Tribute to Nick Bockwinkel set to Behind Blue Eyes by The Who. One of the all time greats, provided me with many childhood memories. I think that if they had used ring entrance music in his day this would have been perfect. Check out the clip at the end of the video where he explains how his sleeperhold is legal and demonstrates how Verne Gagne's is illegal. The misunderstood villain.

Great on the mic and an underrated technical wrestler.

Great tribute. I was a mark also and hated him so bad. Now I have to say he was a real professional, a stand up guy who really didn’t have the ego his character made you believe he had. He made his opponents look good, he always gave a true performance and was a good example to his peers even though not all of them followed it.

Thanks for this, I grew up watching the AWA and Nick was huge in those years. As a very young boy I didn’t like him but as I grew the appreciation for his character and talents win me over big time

Thank you for this amazing tribute. I was not around in the 70’s and in the early 80’s I was way too young to appreciate the surroundings around me let alone the greatness of “Wicked” Nick Bockwinkel. The man was everything you said in this video. He had the It Factor, Charisma, Mic Skills, Persona, and as the dastardly arrogant heel carried the AWA Championship to places no other wrestler could, and that includes the great Verne Gagne. Out of all the great World’s Champions in the classic modern era Bockwinkle carried himself like a champion inside that right and out. You never heard anything about him embarrassing himself or the business of Pro Wrestling. The man was pure unadulterated class personified and just like his mentor he great Lou Thesz carried himself like a professional. GBU Nick and again Thanks for the memories.
