Section 1 - Extent of operation of the Indian Penal Code
This Act shall be called the Indian Penal Code, and shall [extend to the whole of
India [except the State of Jammu and Kashmir]].

C ) Other territories which may be acquired.
Section 18 - “India”.—“India” means the territory of India excluding the State of

sir can u please tell me what is the current scenario of applicability of ipc on j and k, after removal of article

because now ipc is applicable on j and k also along with many other central laws and j and k's own criminal law is also been repealed, but still I didn't found anything like amendment in section 1 of ipc

so I m confused how to study for judiciary exam perspective if I want to appear in 2020 0 2021
