HOW TO VENT A BATHROOM EXHAUST FAN

Hey Dads,

I had an energy audit done on my house and the auditor told me that I needed to vent my bathroom better than what was already there. So I bought two vent hoses so that I could extend the bathroom exhaust all the way to so the soffit and out of the house.

You can also use this vent hose as a dryer vent hose. These iPower vent hoses seem to be very durable and they comes with the clamps in the package. I did get some aluminum tape so that the hoses would stay together better and be easier to put together.

This is my authentic, unedited #review / installation of the iPower Ventilation Hose for my bathroom exhaust fan. If you like my review videos, consider subscribing, and let me know in the comments what you want this dad to review next.

*Works amazingly **Fastly.Cool** . I love all the features and the double expansion. For once a fan is almost as tall as my window. Updated but not overly fancy.*

You should use insulated duct. This helps eliminate condensation from form on the outside of the ducting when the warm air is going through the cold attic air.

Maybe start off with "I have no idea how to properly install a bathroom vent. This is for entertainment purposes only".

Clicked for 'how to' but got 'how not to'.

3:35 not sure if others have said already, but what ya missing to connect to flex lines is a 4” coupler. Than ya use foil tape to secure the flex lines to aluminum coupler (which has 2 male crimped ends that will accept the flex lines) and will be secure w/o driving crazy trying to connect to flex lines

Awesome!! now I know how to connect two duct lines

You should use insulated duct. Ran straight up from exhaust fan out your roof. Never ever run it out your soffit because it'll just cause mold back in attic once it sucks the air back up through the soffit

Lowes. sells a coupling that goes inside of that flex pipe. and use 2 hose clamps.

Doesn;t the vent hose need to be an insulated one?

I wanna see drilling the hole in the roof to vent it

I would use an aluminum flew as a Union, put both hoses on the flew and use two clamps on the hoses. Then if you want, use the aluminum tape over the seam.

The clamp is only used with a coupling that goes inside the vent hose!

To make this even better, use an insulated flex hose. The amount of moisture from your shower can create condensation and whatnot which is awful in the attic. 💪🤙👍

Where is the finished part showing what it looks like?

You use some dryer vent tape around the clamp also, and top it off with duct sealant putty all lathered. I do 3 coats and when it hardens it's never coming off 💪🏽

What is wrong with the pipe that goes straight up?

Never go into an attic that has loose insulation unless you have at least a basic face mask. That's why you were coughing.

You can purchase 6" sheet metal contoured vent connectors. Connect with hose clamps or duct tape.
