Unironically a great idea, I like large comic books but having a small version you can carry around is nice. Plus the form factor reminds me a bit of most manga, which is probably on purpose.

I absolutelly love the way DC is doing these. They are selling pretty good in my comic store and the price is what actually attracts the readers. It doesn't matter if you are reading Watchmen or Wonder Woman: Earth One, both are the same price.

This reminds me of the "Best of DC comics" digest magazines from 1979 -1986. I remember picking those up at a garage sale years ago and thought they were great. Each one had a number of various comics. I guess it would be harder to do today since most comic arcs are long and not single issues.

I could see this as a jumping on point for new readers. Single issues can get expensive and some graphic novels are $20 or more. 9.99 seems like a price most kids can afford especially when they get a complete story arc.

MANGA has basically taken over the comics industry. It makes sense for DC to re-format their comics to attract some of the Manga readers. The traditional "single-issue" comics should be only for collectors now.

Love the concept that they are doing reprints for DC Compact Comics, hope they will do Geoff John’s Green Lantern series since that my is most favourite Green Lantern run.

Been waiting for manga sized American comics for years. I’m not paying $4.99 for a single issue. Please more of this!!! Manga size, full color for $9.99 is gold. Most manga is $9.99-12.99 in B&W. I hope this gets younger people back into comics. Get these at Walmart stat lol. I love my LCS but comic sales were healthiest when they were apart of the wider market not a niche hobby. Let the old heads argue over floppies I just want to read comics not on a screen!

As someone who started collecting tabletop rpg books in this size yeah this is good. Affordable option and easier to store/shelve and of course easier for ppl to get into physical comics.
