Otis Rush, one of the best ever, brilliant guitar lick.

Heard about Rush because of Clapton then went out and bought some Rush music. Clapton pointed a lot of people in the direction of some of the greatest guitarists of all time.

This was a great video . Clapton at his best with one of his heroes and doing a great job which is reflected in Otis' smiling face .

Because this song influenced Peter Green so much, he wrote Black Magic Woman….after Green left Fleetwood Mac, this was the only song he could get royalties for. When Carlos Santana took over, he not only paid Peter Green, but out of his own pocket, he sent Otis Rush royalties to as well, even though he wasn’t under any legal obligation, but wanted to make things right.

Eric's one of the luckiest people on Earth. This man got to play with most of his heroes. Imagine how good you'd have to be to have been able to do that!

I’ve been fortunate to have seen many blues greats over the past 50+ years but not seeing Otis was unfortunate.

This is a great song and a great show here right here my goodness gracious sakes alive. And Steve Miller does an awesome cover of this song also.

Clapton naysayers should take a look at this — and a lot more. Otis Rush is an absolute blues giant, though grossly underappreciated. so I’ll start by recognizing his greatness. (Did not know “Black Magic Woman” was drawn from this.) So when Otis, and his band, respects you the way they do Clapton you know you’re looking at serious blues. Clapton’s ability to get into the groove of so many other artists is nothing short of astonishing. Otis Rush is nothing short of astonishing. And this song, the two of them … you get the idea.

Eric plays well with others and the John Mayall Bluesbreakers version of this and Hideaway (Freddie King) on Beano started it all and boy it went far and wide and back again. Wonderful music. A pure joy to listen to over and over.
