The lady was right. When you plugged into the same EA charger she was plugged into you terminated her session. Even though there are two connectors, two cars cannot be charging from the same EA station @ the same time.

Honestly, I sincerely hope that Rivian succeeds as a company. I like a lot of their products, especially the upcoming R2. I'd love to see them improve their software more, but I'm glad that they'll keep Tesla and everyone else on their toes.

Just get the Tesla adapter and use Tesla or Rivian stations whenever possible. You'll have a great experience. I've road tripped 5000+ miles in my R1S.

Wife's family is 500 miles to the South and mine is 1000 to the North. One of the main reasons I bought a Model Y and didn't even look at anything was the simplicity and reliability of the Supercharging network.

I haven’t watched the news in a decade. I read the news because I get to control what I read about. I feel fully informed without feeling assaulted by the fear approach of the news “if it bleeds, it leads.”

Much happier, far less stressed and worried about things I have no control over.

And yes I drove my ‘21 Model Model 3 SR+ across the US (Sacramento CA > Louisville KY and back, 5, 500 miles). This is the least expensive, smallest battery, slowest charging vehicle Tesla sells.

It was an absolutely fantastic trip! I have made many other long road trips and am totally convinced paying the $10k more for the bigger battery pack would have been wasted.

Love your content. We are holding off to 2027 to get our first EV. We have enjoyed Hybrids but wanted the infrastructure to build out some more as well as the technology is changing...its only getting better.

Our plan is to subscribe to the Tesla supercharger network and use that exclusively.

I was wandering when you set the filters on the navigation to Tesla and Rivian why it did not work. Did you try restarting your trip to resolve?

Yes hotel destination chargers are wonderful...now some are charging for it. Bummer it did not work.

Phantom breaking used to drive me nuts on my old Model Y. Haven’t really tried it on the R1S. I actually like driving though and therefore I’m old.

Btw super helpful video. My sister in law loves the R1S for the looks but is torn between that and the Model x. The charging network is a big deal for her in the middle of nowhere Ohio.
