2015 - 2018 Yamaha R6 Full Conversion | Front end (PART 1)

1st video of a series of tutorials on how to convert every section of the bike from the 3rd Gen 08-16 Yamaha R6 to the new body style 17-20.

In the next videos I will cover the tail section as well as the complete wiring modifications to make all the lights work as well as the new fuel pump.

hey i know this is old video, but i wanted to ask if a digital dash from newer yamahas would work on older ones ?, i have 2010 yamaha r6 and i plan to do the conversion also, but the old dash triggers me a little bit and i couldnt find any forums and info about it anywhere else, mybe you would know.

I think your description should read converting from GEN 2 to GEN 3 - 2015 was gen 2 - gen 3 is 2016-2020.

How close is the stock painted tank compared to the aftermarket fairings? It’s looks spot on

I made an adapter plate for the dash so I could get all 3 bolts. Track use only it needs to be secure.
