That intro.. perhaps the most immersive of any ambient album I've heard. It's like breathing light.

Despite how much I love his other output as GAS, this still scratches an itch that the others don't. Timeless.

💖💖💖 alltime fav 💖💖💖

The most entrancing and mesmerizing pieces he ever wrote. Whenever I am listening to them I am falling through space. So beautiful. Achingly beautiful. It breaks my heart again and again.

Thanks for uploading the album's original version. Voigt replaced Tracks 1 and 3 in the "Nah und Fern" version.

The sound of the snare in Untitled 3 is so nice and it gets even nicer, whatever way it's processed.

Found this album in my record collection today. Forgot I had it. The album cover and the vinyl itself has so little markings, I was trying to fig out what the heck this amazing album was.

The long lost elder brother of the GAS legacy.

listening to untitled 2 always conjures up images of late 90s/early 00s discovery channel or science channel commercials, specifically the images of wind turbines and smokestacks

Thanks for uploading this man. Such a rare album. Unreal sounds. Like something an alien would listen to.

I feel like this one is underappreciated because of the cover :(

For those who still think Zauerberg is the best album: BULLSHIT!

THIS album is better than Zauerberg. I just get too scared by the slasher movie atmosphere that that album seems to create in my mind's auditory theater. Every track on there makes me feel like I'm about to get jumped by some shadowy axe killer in the woods any minute. You have to be a masochist to like that album (and believe me, I tried at least half a dozen times to get into it and I just can't get any enjoyment from it).

This 1996 self titled album sounds closer to what Pop would sound like. Wolfgang hasn't even made his orchestral samples a trademark yet. This is more closer to Oval or even Future Days era Can: more chill and ambient with techno beats underneath, more synth dominated. And very Sunny and breezy. But where Pop sounds more like I would need to be outdoors to enjoy it, this album sounds like what I would hear at a spa, while sitting in a hottub with the skyroof overhead bringing in the rays of the Sun from above. And nice fluffy clouds passing by.

And the techno beats would be the motors causing the jets to run and make the water in the hot tub swirling.

This is what I like to hear from a Gas album.
