LEVEL 42 ❖ two solitudes 【HD】

Показать описание
At the beginning of their career, Level 42 was squarely a jazz-funk fusion band, contemporaries of fellow Brit funk groups like Atmosfear, Light of the World, Incognito, and Beggar & Co. By the end of the '80s, however, the band — whose music was instantly recognizable from Mark King's thumb-slap bass technique and associate member Wally Badarou's synthesizer flourishes — had crossed over to the point where they were often classified as sophisti-pop and dance-rock, equally likely to be placed in the context of Sade and the Style Council as any group that made polished, upbeat, danceable pop/rock. The band's commercial peak came with 1985′s World Machine, but they continued to record and tour sporadically throughout the '90s and 2000s.

I do not own the copyright to this recording so if it needs to be removed, I will remove it. This video is for entertainment purposes only.

I loved this tune and I cried and cried and cried when my wonderful girlfriend that became my fiancee' died from cancer and left me, crippled from her death and sobbing for her. She was one of the most massively incredible women I have ever known. You rocked!! You were original and loving and I can't stand that you are gone, baby. But you went home after being Born Again, I will always love you Sam, Benjamin. God Bless you darling.

Memories of an old building which no longer exists, full of people, some of whom have passed, and some who live to this day.
They say the friends you make when you are on the floor are the best, and they were God bless them.
George, Barry, Ken, the two Terry's, Kim and Maidie.
Thank you for making a difference when I really needed it.
30 odd years later I still remember you all.

Their commercial peak came with Running in the family I would think.

First heard this song in the mid 80s. Was so young then but already loved the melody. I got hear it once in while until I lost my Running in the Family cassette and CD in mid 90s. Thanks to Spotify and YouTube, got to reunite with the song again 3 years ago. But now I can relate more to its painfully beautiful lyrics - having gone through several relationships. Still a gorgeous song that brings many memories. @ianraygarcia on IG.
