This documentary is full of shit. Trotsky fought Lenin for 15 years prior to being allowed to join the Bolshevik Party. Following the 1905 revolution Trotsky formed the August Bloc made up of demoralized radicals to fight against Lenin and the Bolshevik Party. While Lenin and Stalin were working to rebuild and strengthen the Party Trotsky was running around Europe criticizing Lenin at every turn. Trotsky was allowed to join the Bolshevik Party three months before the October revolution with the approval of both Lenin and Stalin. All of Trotsky's roles and duties were approved FIRST by the Party so any talk of "Trotsky created and lead the Red Army" is false. He did a great job in his posts but Trotsky was part of a Party carrying out its directives. Its important to note that Trotsky came to the Bolshevik Party not the other way around. He was unsuccessful in building his own Party following the failed 1905 revolution. Trotsky's fall from grace was due to his inability to subject himself to the principles of Democratic Centralism. Time and time again whether the fight over building socialism in one country or militarizing the trade unions (how stupid) when Trotsky lost he would organize a faction and not submit to the will of the majority. Ultimately, this behavior got him kicked out of the Party. With no support of the working class or a Party behind him Trotsky had to resort to conspiracy (and terrorism the murder of Kirov) with enemies of the Russian people both internal and external culminating in the Moscow Trials of the mid thirties when they were smoked out and liquidated. Trotsky and his followers use fake revolutionary verbiage like "Permanent Revolution" 'Stalinism" "Stalinist Bureaucracy" to hide their hatred towards genuine socialism and the achievements of the Soviet Union prior to its degeneration under Khrushchev. One only needs to read Trotsky's predictions (The Revolution Betrayed) regarding the Soviet Union's quick defeat by Nazi Germany because the Soviet people did not support Stalin. He was so so wrong and pig headed. Run from Trotsky and his cult like followers as fast as you can!
