EASY PALABOK

¼ cup cooking oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 medium red onion, chopped
1 tablespoon atsuete power
¼ cup patis puro, plus additional as needed
½ cup tinapa flakes
4 cups shrimp stock
¼ cup cornstarch diluted in 1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt and pepper, to taste

For garnish:
Hard boiled eggs, chicharron,
sauteed shrimps, spring onions, calamansi

Hi from Texas!! I was introduced to Palabok when a Jollibee opened up in Dallas which is about 2 hours away! My husband is Filipino and he introduced me to this dish and I fell in LOVE. We have drove there twice in the last year just to get Palabok. I'm going to ask my mother-in-law and Lola to make some for me for the next time we visit, but really wanted to see if I could make my own! Great tutorial! <3

He is a good mentor, he explained well and gave suggestions for any substitute. Using mushroom chips is for pescatarian diet people, who only eats fish/seafood & vegetables. Well done, Chef RV! Watching from Calgary, Alberta 🇨🇦

I'm from binan and regular customer of Chef RV restaurant. masasarap din po ang kanilang breads, nag tuturo po talaga ng short course culinary and baking ...
