China-made C919 successfully completed its first test flight

The fourth prototype of China's self-developed C919 passenger aircraft concluded its maiden test flight. The test evaluated the avionic system, take-off and landing performance, automatic flight system, and natural icing. The C919 is the first large passenger jet designed and built in China. The C919's developer Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has tested four aircrafts in the same manner.

if you rode China’s HSR, city metros, electric buses, you know their design and construction are already ahead of most countries. This flying baby is a god-send news to the world, especially those developing countries don‘t have to buy second or third-hand planes, putting their people at risk anymore.

Good job china. chinese market is the biggest civil aviation market in the world. why would they buy american made airplane if they can make they're own. why would give that piece of the pie to America? if they can make stealth fighter jet, why not a commercial jet.

I hear that 2021 will be the year when ordinary passengers will be able to fly in a C919. I guess I will find out which airline and which route closer to the time! I doubt I'd be able to get tickets on a maiden commercial flight, but this overseas Chinese still plan to fly back to China at the appropriate time and be one of the first to fly in the home made aircraft. Congratulations to the engineers at COMAC!

It's very hard to develop and sustain a airliner manufacturing industry than military aircraft. So good job.
But Chinese airliners need to have fleet of these first before they expect other countries to buy it these
