Another thing to take into account. I'm not sure if it would work, but let's not forget Goku and Vegeta can use ki shields like they did in the TOP against Lavender to protect em from the virus. If he can use the shield and UI I don't think he'll have much problems

There's also the fact that Sonic and friends don't really display speed feats like immeasurable speed in the saga that lead me to believe that Goku would actually outspeed most of the characters in the saga if not all of them. Sonic clearly shows he's using most of the effort he can and isn't just speed blitzing around the entire planet in milliseconds like he can with immeasurable speed. There's also the fact Silver has similar abilities and I *believe* didn't get infected? My knowledge on Silver in the metal virus saga isn't amazing. Most likely Goku would find a way to stop it. Not by himself, but with the help of Eggman (and maybe Bulma if this is a crossover)

Yeah this could be more easy for people like Wukong and Wukong is said to be able to purge any disease in his body and Wukong has many layers of immortality so i think Wukong would fair a better chance against the metal virus.

The way i can see goku in the metal virus is either take the fight to eggman to prevent eggman from creating more zombots or using his instant transition to move mobians away from infected areas tho I can't really see goku doing anything but fighting anyone that give him a challenge, i feel Gohan might be mostly useful
