I agree with Lou, the old cars look great restored to their original look as the designers intended. I can't stand when modifiers lower any vehicle. What an incredible find. Such rich, deep colors.

One of the nicest Falcon restorations I’ve ever seen.

I was a teenager in the 60s and seeing these cars from that era brings back many good memories.

I had a 65 2 door coupe in that exact color but wasn't the Sprint model and only had a 200 straight 6
It was my first car in 1980
My dad and I did the body work together
Brings back fond memories indeed
Thanks for sharing

A V-8 motor was very unusual for a Falcon! Nice! Thanks Lou!

Lou,
Mr. Smith was fantastic, I like his way of thinking, he is a bit of a purest regarding his restoration work. As you said, it's a cute little ford with a fantastic sounding V8. It's a delightful car!

Lou, this car is just sweet. Can u imagine what it must've been like to walk into a showroom in late '63 and see that?! That 260 gave it just enough ooomph... great little motor that morphed into the mighty 289. Nice find Lou.

These cars were rare even when new. And in here Wisconsin, these things rusted out in about three years. I can’t remember the last time I saw one. As can be seen, the restoration work done is as good as it gets. Another great car story, Lou. Thanks

You are absolutely correct; restoring cars to their original state as the designers & manufacturers had intended. To me, that’s always the best restore. I’m ok with people who like to restore to upgrade this & that because at least a vintage car is saved, and I truly appreciate those. But I still love, love pure original cars as they were designed. What a great and simple convertible!! Suits me to a ‘T’!!
