“When there’s something in your life that you can’t control, it’s extremely debilitating.”
I felt that in my soul.

She articulated the struggle with acne so well.

She said she changed her diet, drank lots of water etc. This is just a short clip. PCOS is hormonal. It's not an easy fix.

All these people saying diet diet diet ain’t never had acne to this level lol there are people out here who are on “My 600lb life” who have the CLEAREST SKIN I’ve ever seen eating GOD KNOWS WHAT 😂😂😂. I drink water, stay away from processed foods (as much as I can) and have a simple skincare routine but my skin is my skin. Just like how people are naturally skinny or big, it all has to do with your genetic makeup at the end of the day.

I love that she speaks out about this! Those of us who struggle with acne tend cover it up because there’s so much shame about it. She described the struggle so perfectly. It’s also very annoying when people come out the woodwork saying “have you tried xyz” or “xyz is causing the acne”. You could literally throw the kitchen sink at it, and still breakout. It’s so complex and people need to stop assuming that one solution fits everyone’s body because it doesn’t.

Accutane is life-changing if you have this. It was for me, because cystic acne is genetic. People don’t realize, it’s a condition INSIDE the skin- no amount of washing or topicals are going to fix it.

Girl, this cuts deep to my soul. I’ve struggled with acne since i was 17. I am 27 now, I’ve been on accutane twice. I’ve had so many cosmetic procedures, so many doctors that I’ve visited, so many people giving me advice on how I can clear it (which obviously were so dumb, cause none of them had that problem in their entire life), so many days when I was just weeping 😭 since I couldn’t control it. This 💯 f*cks with your confidence. So for anyone going through it, babe I feel u like no other!

I think we can all identify with this. Im 47 years old and I've had bad skin since my early tweens. Today, I don't even care... because of rhe thousands of dollars spent over my life with treatments, medication, ointments, makeup, doctors, diets, food restrictions, etc...I just learned to be alright with it and middle finger to those that look at me and judge.

The struggle when it comes to acne is real.
I am in my 20's and still struggling with acne despite the medication and skincare products.
Clear skin is really a dream for me.

As someone who struggled with acne who now has clear skin, whenever I get one pimple I freak out and worry my whole face will get acne all over again.
I swear Having bad skin can give you ptsd. I’ve also done all the expensive treatments. I’m glad to be out of it.
It sucked being in my 20s with acne. I missed out on so many experiences because I didn’t want to be seen.
My heart goes out to anyone dealing with acne

I had bad skin well into my late 30's. I refused to wear make-up to cover it up. I tried medication, Proactive, topicals. I was so frustrated. Then I was sitting in a salon and us females were talking. A customer recommended Ambi with the cleansing beads. It changed my life. Used it for years until they changed it. Then I went back to old school, Noxzema and aloe vera, to maintain my skin. Drink plenty of water.
