This is singlehandedly the best CGI recreation of a deceased actor ever.

Mind blown. Just imagine what things are going to be like in another 10-20-30 years. Technology is cool.

I had no idea it was this extensive, when watching the film it was only that very last shot they did that stood out as looking a tiny bit off. They did a really amazing job with this.

They did an excellent job. An unforgettable tribute to Paul/Brian's memory. So much respect for the team and for his brothers.

Wait seriously? I was almost sure that the only scene with his face that ised VFX was the tribute scene at the very end. This is mind blowing.

Some shots are uncanny valley some are perfect. Weta is getting closer and closer archiving perfect CGI humans. We have perfect apes and monsters, only humans left to perfect.

Paul Walkers tragic death is still one of the most unbelievable deaths from last decade to me, way too young and kind to die just like that in such a horrible way, he was a good man. RIP Paul you always will be missed.

They also used unused footage and alternate takes from the prior films:

1. The scene with Mia and Brian in the basement at the start of this video is actually a deleted scene from Fast 5

2. The scene with Dom and Brian talking on the plane is actually an alternate take of the scene when Brian and Dom discuss their father's in Fast 5 (Paul Walker was rotoscoped from that footage and digitally inserted in).

3. The scene on the beach in Abu Dhabi is also reused footage from the ending of Fast 5 with the same process used as listed above.

4. The scene where Brian calls Mia before the finale is a deleted scene from Fast 6

I had no idea so much of Paul in F7 was CGI! I thought it was maybe one or two brief shots. I watched really closely, trying to figure out which shots were CGI, and I would never have guessed it was so many. Well done, Weta!

Unbelieveable. I had no idea there were so many scenes relying on CG to recreate Brian. Truly amazing work

I'm glad they didn't lose the subtle nuances of Paul's performance. The Fast and Furious movies are really all about character study.
