Interesting to note that Rebellion, Dante's sword, is meant to unify humans and demons, while Yamato, Japanese word for "harmony", is meant to sever the connection between the two.

Nice little thing to note is that when Vergil separated his human half from his devil half he was facing away from the family portrait but when Dante absorbed the Sparda sword he faced the family portrait

I definitely appreciate the symbolism in this scene. Here we have Dante standing in the exact spot Vergil was standing, but instead of turning away from the portrait like Vergil did (rejecting his humanity), we have Dante facing the portrait (accepting his demonic heritage).

This is absolutely my favorite devil trigger dante has ever had, he literally becomes a demon god, he’s more than just a demon hunter now he’s a fucking deity

When one thinks about it, all the times we saw Dante Devil Trigger, his form was mostly human. This time, at this moment we see Dante achieve his DT's true form by having both the rebellion and the Sparda absorbed into a human. The Yamato divides but the rebellion merges Dante's human and demon aspects together.

It’s one thing to try and react to watching a guy stab himself, but another to get pissed off at him for doing it (while offering to kill him later since we kind of need him alive right now).

Still, this line with this scene is a pure standout moment in DMCV.

They literally had no reason to give Dante's SDT _that_ much cake, but they did anyways, and we'll be forever grateful for that.

I'm very happy they took the concept of the Perfect Devil Trigger and made it a thing. It was too cool not to incorporate somehow.

Did anyone realise that the closet we see on Dante's left (0:05) when he enters his home is the one Eva hid him in when he was a child, as their home was attacked by demons ?
The camera even gives us a view of Dante from the inside of the closet at 0:18, just like his point of view when his mother went after Vergil just before she died.
