Traffic in Lima is so bad. It is due to the economic progress. Even though it is been built tons of bridges + viaducts for cars and busses, it is only getting worst

When the Spanish arrived in 1532 the valley of the Rimac river where today sits the city of Lima was full of forests and agricultural land with multiple water channels that are still used today to water many of the parks in the city. Also there where around 80 big huacas and pyramids like Pucllana but sadly only around 10 have survived. Good videos ¡
