Honda CBR600RR VS Yamaha R6 | The BEST 600CC Bike!?

👋 In todays head to head comparison we take a look at two similar but different 600CC bikes. We have the Yamaha R6 and the Honda CBR600RR! We have owned both of these bikes for at least 5 years and put a lot of miles on them! Both bikes are such a joy to ride and they have been the best bikes for us to have! We grew up riding and racing dirt bikes, so this was naturally the next step to get to the streets and the 600CC is a perfect bike we believe for the roads! Any 600cc sport bike will offers something slightly different, but in general they are all very similar! You can use this bike as a good beginner bike, but also for someone who is very experienced! You have so much room to grow and use a 600cc, that it honestly won't get old every time you ride! We have tons of experience and are always learning every time we head to the track or the mountains to not only stay safe and have fun, but improve on our riding and techniques!
The Honda CBR600RR is the bike I bought because I am a huge Honda fan and it was a dream bike! I also love blue and found the perfectly maintained bike that I have racked up over 20K miles on in 5 years!
The Yamaha R6 is my brothers choice for the same reason, he loves Yamaha! That has been his dream bike and it's awesome to see that no matter what bike you get, as long as you enjoy it, you will have plenty of fun!
Both of these bikes along with other 600's are all very awesome and fun, just rider preference!

In todays comparison, both of these bikes are pretty similar especially since they are the same year bike!
It is interesting to see that Yamaha has restricted the 2022 year model of the R6 to just a track only bike, whereas the 2022 Honda is a road legal bike. Not sure on Yamaha's take on that, but maybe they will introduce a new bike at some point!
Hope you enjoy todays comparision and as the Honda slogan goes...."I wanna ride, I wanna ride, I wanna ride"! Stay safe and have fun!!

I'm Team Honda but much respect to Yamaha. Great breakdown of each bike and video overall.

I like that the cbr has plastics on the tank. If you drop it or slide it, you can just buy a new fairing kit without buying a new tank. Makes the honda great for a track bike where you might make some mistakes.

I used to have an 2012 R6 and now I'm im about to get a 2007 cbr600 and im looking forward to a more comfortable riding position.

My selling point on the cbr is the fuel gage, and the electronic steering damper.

Personally I love the looks of the r6. But the honda has the fuel gauge and the undertail exhaust and also the tank is coverd by plastics unlike the yamaha and that's really useful if you want to change the fairings, like I would like to if I find one with oem fairings in good condition so I could store them to keep it's resell value. I guess it'll all depend on whatever I find on the 2nd hand market when I get my license, if I find an r6 in a really good condition I'll get it over any cbr600.

I have both, I've worked on both as well extensively, I've also worked on Kawasakis and Suzuki's. Hands down. I am picking Yamaha every time, they just are built far superior. I do love to ride the CBR occasionally too though. 💯👌

I owned both bikes. 07 600RR, I cherished it. Invested so much time and money and was so easy to work on. One of my favorite bikes in 25yrs. Sadly it was stolen. The R6 was more aggressive and not as much fun. I immediately had to swap sprockets to -1, +2 to get it quickly into the powerband for street riding. I think it's a must do mod for any 600 Inline-4. The Honda I just loved everything about it from its comfortability, weather protection and it's angry predictable motor. It really helped me become a much better rider. It was much more customized to my riding style compared to my R6. The 6 was just not road friendly enough for me. I sold it after 2yrs but I would've kept my Honda forever. The only bike I've loved as much is my current 2014 S1000RR. And I will keep it forever. And since I'm older now and not always in the mood for riding so aggressive I have a Bandit 1250n in my garage as well. Highly underrated bike. I got it super cheap and it's got loads of torque and puts a big smile on my adrenaline junkie face. I put 600 riders to shame on back twistie roads whenever they try to give me that old man bike comment. I'm from the era where I was fortunate enough to witness the best releases from Japan. And my 1st streetbike was a 02 GSXR1000, but that's a whole story in itself. Everyone ride safe. Do your research and don't skimp on gear. I've learned probably almost every lesson the hard way.

I have 4 bikes, but my favorite is my r6.I have a 1050cc triple speed triumph St, that thing has some power and a crazy top speed but is too tall for me and is heavy as hell.R6 is the best 600cc for sure, I have rode them all. With a few after market parts and a bad ass tune and they are unstoppable.😊

I admire the R1's crossplane engine, but the CBR600 and the 1000 has the signature F1 "chime"

If it were up to me, the CBR would be my pick for it being lower to fit my 5'5 stature, and that Honda's sport bikes have always aesthetically stood out to me.

I have an R1 and it's a super fun bike and it was something I've wanted all my life and plus I got some extra things done to it changed my exhaust, stretch the rear wheel and lowered it down with neon lights on it..

I’m stuck between an 08 Honda and an 07 Yamaha r6 right now. Any input from anyone ? I’m leaning toward the cbr for the fuel gauge, steering damper, and Honda reliability tho. And I don’t like the r6s wide face. Looks sick from the side tho

Doesn't sound like you revved out the R6 enough.

Bit late to this but owned both, rode the R6 a lot more as I got it first. If I had to own one bike as my only mode of transport it's the Honda any day of the week. If you're going to do some track days and have access to a car I'd probably take the R6. I found it more fun to ride due to the power band coming on harder higher up the Rev range. Loved both

2006-07 r6 kasası diğer üst modellerinden daha güzel görünüyor. Hala güncel kasa olarak görünüyor
