I am into the sim about 10 hours now.

I want out for my 3rd manual flight. I did a few good flips and rolls, then this happened... Thanks emergency brake!

Well done, good relfexes. I always had similar fear of having to press emergency brake in upside down position. I am impressed by the dji tech.

I'm really good in the sim but whenever I do it irl i get so nervous and I fly horribly

The panic button on the DJI FPV isn't a good crutch to learn. I have that panic button etched into my soul and I unconsciously tried using it on my non-DJI quad. Instead of breaking and going into angle mode, I turned the quad off at about 150 feet over a water hazard. My brand new iFlight BumbleBee is no more.

I was on my 2nd manual flight today. I wanted to see whether the panic button worked when inverted, so I took it up about 200 ft & went upside down. Hit the button & boom, instant correction.

doubt. was it upside down when you pressed the home button? just turned around? I didn't think I could do that

Dont get too hung up on the sim; you did a great job. Just getting your rates locked in it looks like and getting used to them; and that takes time. Newer DJI FPV pilots make the mistake of continuously jiggling their rates so they never truly adapt to locking in to ONE rate that works for them.

You were doing awesome. The sim can be a lot harder than the actual drone itself. Just fly out in open area like you were; and give yourself plenty of altitude to be able to recover; that’s literally how I started SHREDDING with my DJI FPV!

DONT GET HUNG UP ON THE SIM! YOUR DOING GREAT! KEEP GETTING OUT AND FLYING HER! :)

I like liftoff the only issue is that it doesnt have battery weight. Feels pretty floaty and light compared to real fpv but its good for practice in some cases. The dji fpv is pretty slow imo and needs some tuning.

What happens if I click brake button while it's half flipped in mid air? Will it automatically get back to normal position and hover?

That is so fun to see. So you rotated it sideways as well as back to back... I cant believe the things it can do. My Phantom 4 Pro has never flipped to my knowledge except perhaps when I hit the RV.

I recognize those mountains. Keep it up!

That's a great start. You should also try a real fpv quadcopter since it's full manual. Also the parts doesn't break right away which is a big plus.

So you are flying in Manual mode, and when you hit the emergency button, the drone will automatic go in horizontal mode like you see at the end?

Good conclusion. I did a lot of Litftoff as well before I actually bought the DJI FPV because that's a new world to me too. I still go on the sim a lot. But keep doing real sessions too! Go slowly, there's no rush. If you didn't touch the rates yet definitely try different ones because everybody feels it different. Rise the rates for faster turning, but smooth it out with a lot of expo to make it easier. Keep center sensitivity up and lower that one progressively. At least that's the advice I would do from my own personal experience.

Keep it up ;).
