Perry is bang on here. Even if you wanted Scotland to go through, there is no way anyone can say that they deserved to. They were poor all tournament, showed very little attacking ambition and were neither good nor brave enough when in possession of the ball.

Scotland was too cautious. Bringing off mcginn early in at 3 games baffled me. He was key to their qualification with his vital late goals. Clarke has had an absolute shocker and has let himself down

Ralston was never going to fit the RWB role, should have played a back 4 and set the team up more positively, Shankland was player of the season + top goals scorer and only played 30 mins over 3 games 🙈 setting up an international team as if it was Kilmarnock was a disgrace

Clarke has to go. Scotland were passive again in a must win game. He is a manager sets up to frustrate and hope to Nick a goal, unfortunately no plastic pitches in Germany to help with his masterplan. Was possibly a penalty but it's better we are out cos we are embarrassing to watch, not creating chances, no speed, no enthusiasm, no offensive tactics...

Playing 5 4 1 to nullify the opposition in the first half is fine, but for the second half you’ve gotta be more attack minded with a 4 4 2 formation, introducing. Shankland and pushing mctommnay just behind him and having Forrest out on the flank for his great delivery and penetrating runs into the box, for shankland to get on them, woildive. Open up the game first us to gain better Chances, but playing this caution & hesitant play isn’t going to create chances, and leaving substitutes till late in the game when other players could make the difference, , you just can’t keep playing this formation till late in the game and then changing it in the last 10 minutes,

Never seen a team give away so much possession through poor choice passing. Hungary were there for the taking, Scotland gave it them back.

If we take a closer look at the snapshot before Barni Varga's horror injury, we can see that
1./ Barni is already in an unnatural (tilted) posture because both of them pushed him.
2./ The goalkeeper hits Barni's face with his left hand even before hitting the ball with his right hand.
+1 I'm not even talking about the fact that the Scottish goalkeeper deliberately wanted to keep Barni away from the ball.
All in all, there were 2-3 penalty situations involved. And the goalkeeper should also be banned afterwards, due to a deliberate foul!
