The Constitution clearly says that the Federal government’s role is only to provide for the common defense, manage foreign relations, protect citizens’ constitutional rights, establish federal courts; apply and explain federal law (in the judiciary’s case); and a few other minor issues.

Very educational. I will add this...unfortunately, some of our SCOTUS members today are continuing down the path of mistakes made by Justices before them. Sadly, our Federal government is far too powerful and complicated and the American people suffer as a result. Term limits are needed for every government elected and non elected official.

The segregation that existed back then still exist today, the difference is that is goes ignored and unnoticed more than it did back then. Everyone makes a prejudice opinion about people based on their appearance because they cared so much about who was wealthy. For example, in those days african americans were poor so the whites felt with even more power to discriminate them.

Affirmative action will be with us until the fall of the republic. And the reason is that so many, especially in the black community, do not want o lose their special status as "the oppressed." By maintaining the oppressor/oppressed relationship, you can always blame your troubles on someone else, and who doesn't want that?

"Freedom has cost too much blood and agony to be relinquished at the cheap price of rhetoric" - Thomas Sowell. After 21 years active duty military service also an additional 20 years as a private military contractor. Presently a private USA citizen retired. I would advise every present day military and law enforcement person to reconsider there service to this present day country USA. If your able to support your family doing another professional occupation then consider making the change. I advise all others not to choose a profession of military or law enforcement. By making these choices the country's leftist elites and ruling oligarchy. Will have to implement a draft/conscription to fill the ranks to do their bidding in the globalization of the USA.
