It has definitely got something to do with time, the ticking of the clock. Also the clock that is on the wall can be seen with eyes during the tv snippets, also during the tv snippets you can see the letters t and m spaced out as if they were spelling time. There is also a scene where the yellow guy has a fish with its guys on the table.
