Denver Broncos Quietly Linked to Blockbuster Trade

Is Sean Payton burning this thing to the ground and rebuilding the Denver Broncos in two or three years, or does he think we have the talent to win now? How the Denver Broncos proceed with Courtland Sutton will tell us a LOT about Sean Payton's hopes for this team! If Courtland is dealt, it is a sign that we are not set to winning now but instead are hoping to stockpile assets for a future winning franchise. If however, the Denver Broncos make things work with Courtland, it is a sign that Sean Payton believes we can be competitive this year. In this video we break down a potential trade with the Washington Commanders and the San Francisco 49ers that would ultimately land the Broncos with a 3rd round draft pick and Jameson Crowder while Brandon Aiyuk would pair up with his buddy Jayden Daniels in Washington and Courtland Sutton and a 2nd round draft pick would go to San Francisco.

Let me know in the comments how you feel about the trade? How do you hope the Denver Broncos proceed with Courtland Sutton this year?

Ben...eight years is not their longest playoff drought...and it's only tied for the longest in my time following the team. Denver didn't have a .500+ season until their 14th year in existence (1973) or a playoff appearance until their 18th (1977). I was watching since '69, so the 8 year drought I witnessed was a match for this one.

To your point about how fast Payton is planning things...it's a good idea to examine the two rebuilds he did already for New Orleans. Both took 3 seasons. However, it should be understood that a franchise QB was already in place each time. Go back & examine the full slate of transactions that he made during each one. Include the draft, trades & free agency signings. Some of those transactions included more than one of those things. You'll see a pattern developing. He doesn't wait long for players to decline before moving on. You'll also notice a talent for finding pro-bowl caliber offensive linemen either later in the draft or through trades in which he bet on future potential.

As for Sutton, I don't believe he's part of a long term answer here, by which I mean being a #1 WR for the next 5 years or so.

1st. Payton and Paton have a lot to prove! I think Sutton is negotiating in good faith, hopefully they come to an agreement.

Right on! I hope the trade is just talk. All last offseason there was talk about Jeudy and Courtland, and nothing happened. I hope we go with the guys we have, which is a good group, and it will be hard to pick which ones will be on the 53. We'll see.

The mentality for the Denver Broncos team under Sean is tough, fearless, and smart.

The players that fit the sean payton culture are those who would literally play any position at anytime when asked without blinking!! If Sean Payton said "Bo I need you on Kickoff " or "Hey Jaleel I need you play safety!" They would both grab their helmets and run on the field without saying a word. That mindset is the Sean Payton (Denver) culture!!

I dont like that deal but if it is necessary to keep all of our studs on defense and we gotta find out who can step up behind him in the WR room i wont be too down in it. I think out of Mims, Franklin, Reynolds, and the other guys there is someone who can step up if not a couple.

We need a big receiver. Court has great hands and good player. Im not mad at him, he older wants more guarantee money.

Great videos I appreciate your stance on the Broncos. You don’t give off any biased overhype or anything like that, nor do you kick the team to the curb and dismiss them as the 31/32 worst team in the league like a lot of recent articles have indicated.

Personally, I have a lot of carefully gauged hope in this team and feel like they are certainly headed in the right direction. People forget that Sean Payton has only one full season under his belt in Denver with a QB that he KNEW wasn’t going to be able to run his offense the way he envisioned. Drafting Bo Nix was a statement, forget all the hate the pick gets for being “picked way too high” or whatever. This team has so much potential and tons of young talent. If they can continue to develop that talent, imagine what they could do once the Russ money is finally paid and off the books.

As for the trade stuff with Court, I don’t really see any reason to trade him unless he absolutely wants out. I mean a 3rd round pick is definitely something, but I’d rather keep Courtland and his class and leadership around. He definitely deserves a bit of a raise.

I’d rather have Sutton than Patrick with Franklin Reynolds Mims someone is going to be the odd man out imo, and Sutton brings in more value in a trade than any of them. I want him to stay though.

That's a definite trade, especially if they feel Patrick is recovering well. They get cap relief and can draft a replacement next year.

Hey Ben, can you send a link to that shirt. Love it!

Best to wait until training camp to move Sutton, if no deal can be made. That way we get to see how the young WRs look plus injuries on other teams will drive up the price.

I say give court his money, feed him when season starts get his numbers up. Then trade him. Dont want Crowder at all hes been on 5 teams..PASS

I say let him go, He is so valuable as far as Trades and sal cap. If Bo is out starter this whole team is a rook farm. We will still be competitive and can make a run ie. Andrew luck style..And getting more vets in the stable along with sal cap and picks is the way to go.. I think our Defense is gonna be a beast. If we can produce 24 points a game we are gonna be just fine, can't wait for preseason to start to see what talent we really have in full pads at game speed..Also it's gonna be a weird season with the new rules and all so let's play ball go Broncos!

I am a fence rider on this. Sutton isn't really asking for more money just more guaranteed money. He is not being difficult or undermining Being an old guy I look at it from the he signed the 4 year 60 mil contract because he agreed with the terms. If did not agree he wouldn't have signed it.
He has 2 years left on the contract. Stand by your word and play it out.
In the real world a steelworker can't say well Bob over at U S. Steel gets 3 weeks vacation and i only get two. Im going to holdout.
He can reatire at 35 and say woulda coulda shoulda all he wants

If it's only going to take Sutton and a 2nd then why wouldn't we throw the 2nd in and get Brandon ourself? I'd make that trade all day if that's all it'd take
