There are YouTube channels that have a verification badge but are not verified. Is this a YouTube fake verified badge? HOW DID THEY GET A VERIFICATION BADGE???

That wouldn't show on their channel or on comments on other channels would it? I've seen some channels with low subs with the verified checkmark and it actually says "verified" when you hover over it. I'm pretty sure they aren't special cases where youtube gave it to them either. They've hacked the checkmark somehow.

I saw someone with 99.7K subs with an verification badge I went on his profile on a computer and hovered over the badge and it said verified

I tried to verify my account but i typed my number wrong and i re-typed it and it said i had tried to many attempts, i tried again atleast and month later and it still said i tried to many attempts, how do i get verified and what do i do? 😭
