My Use Map Settings " Sunken Defense EXPERT " map for Starcraft Brood War.

The goal is to create your own maze or base to prevent the enemies from reaching the opposite end of their starting location.
If any enemies reach the finish line on the other side, the game is over.
Enemies must have a path to get through to the other side or else they will stop moving and attack to clear a path.
Avoid "walling" them in or the A.I. enemies will attack.

- Added talking character portraits, voiceovers and sound effects. This is the first SD map to use voice effects
- new levels and aesthetic improvements over the original Sunken Defense 2005 design
- included a feature to add additional time to the countdown timer should the need arise
- Rebalanced units and increased level difficulty (other sunken defense maps were far too easy)

Based on the original map triggers and sunken defense concepts first created by Chaos_Bringer_1 and Infested_Raynor

Supports up to 6 players.

Pretty surreal to see this game played to completion, despite being a huge Sunken D fan -- someone was always bound to screw it up or lag out, in my experiences lol. In any case, I pretty much played just like Blue; those Hydralisks boasted consistent damage against every unit type, which supplemented my maze well. For special units, Guardians were my go-to. Spells like Ensare were invaluable, as well. Felt like I had my strategy just right, yet I can still respect the way people made their shit work proper. :3

Poor Orange, though; that kill deficit sure snowballs in later rounds lol.

Amazing seeing a team of 6 not leak a single unit.

EVERY game I'm in, no matter what version, 1-3 people leave within the first half and 1 person eventually leaks every time.

man i was trash at this game when i was a kid but i loved it. i feel bad for all the people in the lobbies i joined who had to babysit my lane cause i didnt know wtf i was doing but was having a blast. my apologies to all of u lol

my favorite part about watching these og starcraft videos is when people talk to each other thru the in game chat. you can tell by how people talk that they’re probably pretty cool irl lol

Orange doesn't have the right idea. Lurkers do help spread damage but once the units escape that containment, then he gets nothing. The only time I would justify lurkers is if there are dogpiles that units stay packed in for longer than usual or I can keep everything in a line to spread the damage evenly. I would have just used my Civs to get Ghosts (like you did since Lockdown helps on higher mechanical waves and they do full damage to enemies the Sunkens do half to) or Scouts to fly around and pick off stragglers.

By any chance do you have any turret or marine defense maps? I just found out about this remastered version so i immediately bought it (to re live my early 00s days) only to find no one is creating UMS maps :(. I honestly should have known better since this game is a relic hehe. Either way Id love to play it myself

It’s killing me watching you click everything and select every unit individually. Takes wayyyy too long. Hotkeys and keybinds are a thing for a reason. Btw did anyone else notice teal was just walled the whole time? I don’t see why they didn’t attack
