The only question I have is whether or not the game will have actual Side Missions; not the Activities we have, like the backpacks, crimes, etc. Actual Missions with their own plot. Like the Batman games' Side Missions.

To be honest, nobody was wondering these questions :)) I mean most of us buying this game are geeks and well acquainted with the Spider verse, so we already know this is Insomniacs alternate universe, and has nothing to do with actual canon. It has already been referenced in the comics as well.
The rest who might not know this, and buy the game don't really give a damn about it, they just wanted to buy and play a Spider-man game. To them it makes no difference if this is canon or not, or if it makes any sense for that matter.

Also anyone buying this particular game has very likely been following the news around it, and knows very well what to expect. Has this video any actual use for the viewers ? No. Did you guys get something to fill out your daily upload schedule with? Yes.

In conclusion, there is absolutely nothing you need to know about this before buying it. It is doing its own thing, therefore it should be handled as such.
