We are accustomed to earthquakes in California, and there were many in Japan when I lived there. I hate seeing the fallen buildings. Many human lives lost, and undoubtedly animals too.
It's traumatic, especially at the beginning when I worry that any little movement is the beginning of a bigger quake. A cat jumping on the bed can create a moment of panic!
