Hi,
So when we integrate using substitution with limits do we not need to replace the u back to x at the end. Can we just substitute the limits into the u and solve? Thank you

yo, just to clarify sth bout the question that was went through during the second half of the video x^3ln(x^2+2). i finished integrating the whole thing and ended up with a constant in my answer. the other part of the answer correctly differentiaties to x3ln(x2+2). i tripled checked my workings and even tried other methods to integrate, all ending up with the same answer. does the constant matter? does this mean that my workings were somehow wrong? or can we ignore any constant terms in our integrated answer as all constants differentiate to 0? thks

hi so in this exercise for question 4b, how did they figure out how to split the fraction 2u/1+u on the solution bank.

Hello sir for the last bit, I changed the x^3 to (u+2)^3/2 is that still the right way to go about it.
