I actually wrote a uni paper about death in the Sims and dealing with grief through playing games last year after my aunt passed away and it just makes me so much more excited for this expansion pack

I love how this pack balances the wants of so many types of players--occult players, challenge players, storytellers etc. there's a really impressive mix of supernatural gameplay and extremely realistic gameplay

WAIT I hope reincarnation is a thing, that would be so insanely cool for legacy gameplay. Imagine, great grandma reincarnates as the next heir.

Looking at the kids, I kinda hope they fix the 'someone you knew died, now be sad about it for days' mechanic. Like make it depend on the kind of relationship you had, and probably the sim's age.
My toddler in Newcrest doesn't need to cry for days about the Laandgrabs having a little pool accident, cause they met Nancy ONCE, and even then, she was mean to them.

I did cry at the end of the trailer. Great storytelling. I’ve been wanting cemeteries since the beginning and usually build my own in each save.

I wish certain “junk” decor like stains and holes etc. would have a negative cost. Like, you gain money if you add it, but if you want to remove it, it costs to remove.

My sisters passed away 4 months ago in her sleep (23) for an unknown reason and watching the trailer made me cry. She loved the sims so much and I'm hoping playing this pack will help me deal with what happened.

0:53 of the pack reveal video there's a mushroom statue holding a flower. I need that in my life 🥹 but I'm excited about this pack. It's gonna be a whole game changer it seems. I love that this pack is going to be massive. Yeah, it's a bit overwhelming compared to other packs we've gotten, but it's going have stuff for everyone to enjoy. So much to explore. I've never wanted to buy a pack as quick as I want to buy this one

I’m wondering since the family was in the room while the elder sim died, if we’re going to get a notification of “calling the family in” and have the option to go for a final goodbye. That would be ideal for this pack instead of the normal phone call telling you so-and-so passed away.

It feels like they are FINALLY catching up to the players when it comes to gameplay styles, wants/needs, etc. So many of us off our Sims for funsies and this makes such a nice addition.
