Thanks ESA. That was good to watch.
NZ is geologically young and it's fascinating to see all the (mainly extinct) volcanoes when you travel around the country. I love NZ. And the Kiwis are great people.

Half an hour's drive southeast of Christchurch is the wonderfully beautiful Banks Peninsula.
The volcanic environment is still active, as is known in Christchurch, among others.

Very nice overview. I live in this area. It is beautiful and I have great fondness for the braided rivers, shingle or sand beaches, and hills.

A Nova Zelândia erguida bem no Alto ...e observada do Alto pelo Sentinel 2...Este mosaico de cores proporcionando um panorama e o coração vulcânico da ilha, estruturas geológicas inactivas mas que continuam a ter o seu papel na formação da paisagem, com um grande lago vedado ao mar e um rio que desagua no Pacífico com a sua sedimentação!! Mais uma maravilha que vem do espaço...
