Mine was SJ4000+. Still have videos on my channel taken with that camera...
Then I moved to a Sony FDR X3000 in the spring of 2017 and didn't feel the need to change since.

I started with the SJCAM as well, then had a GOPro 3. Now I use the Garmin Ultra 30 and Garmin 360. Great cameras and you can get them cheap.

...i still have my sj4000 non wifi I got back in 2015 and is still fully working. I bought an sj8 pro few months back, super happy about it specially the videolapse function as I use it to record my art videos. I actually watched bunch of your video reviews for sjcam before deciding on getting sj8 pro, so thank you. Really helpful. Keep blessing us with these reviews! :)

My first one was SJ5000x Elite and it is my only one until today! I actually did not use it very much because around the same time I started to travel less to places where an action cam with waterproof case would make sense. I rediscovered it a week ago and I plan to repurpose it as a dascham for the car. It has nice settings for this, like starting or stopping recording on power on or off via cable, as well as loop recording for making small videos in sequence then replacing the older ones as the card gets full. I think I will set it at 1080p as the 4k is interpolated. One weird thing is that the rubber that covers the body became sticky and I am looking for a way to clean it without damaging.

My 1st action camera was the XTU S3 from your review, good little camera, but wow the video quality of that firefly at 8:50 was really really nice. Excellent video on the history of these cameras.

My first was the GoPro 4 now the GoPro 9 Black. I also have SLRs and a Mirrorless. My favorite setting on the 9 is where you hold the Top Button and it Turns on and Starts Recording in about 2-3 seconds. It saves battery usage. If I am not holding it I hit the button on the way up and it is On by the time I am on the subject.

My 1st budget action camera was a Crosstour 1080p which was a very good little camera. Later I picked up a Gopro hero 8 black. I didn't have it but even 6mo when a forced update rolled out(6 months ago since that update). Afterwards the camera a couple days later, just happened to never power back on again, I had tried every fix too, nothing would work so that was my 1st and last Gopro. Next was the Akaso V50X which was and still is a awesome budget 4k stabilized action camera. As of now lastly I picked up a original Osmo action, between it and the v50x I couldn't be much happier. I'm waiting now to see ig Dji address the focus issue on the Osmo action 3 I was going to buy soon, time will tell for that one..

Many of the budget actioncam and dashcams are rebranded through HDking. It's why many share the same body and the ones that stand out have better chipsets. Love to see going forward what they'll bring though.

I own a InstaOne R, but the camera I use the most is my Akaso V50 pro SE. The Akaso is small, light, easy to use, and the most important: it always works without issues, no crashes, no memory card issues.

first and only action cam was an apeman A80. not really amazing nowadays but, considering i don’t use action cams often, still good enough for me!
