The Y Wing will always be my favorite. My dad flew OV10's for the Marines, so though and ugly aircraft hold a special place in my heart.

The N1 (Naboo starfighter) gets my vote, it is such a graceful and good looking design. Lots of different designs for several places on this list though, you probably should have just made it a top 15 or even 20 and been more specific with each spot, a Tie fighter is very different to a Tie advanced, or Tie defender etc etc...

I kind of like the CIS Tri Fighter myself but the B wings an A Wings are awesome.

A-wing and TIE Interceptor for the most speed.
X-wing and TIE fighter for the best maneuverability.

My favorite is the Jedi interceptor as I love the shape and look of it and that fact that it has so much nostalgia for me. But what about the Fanblade starfighter? That is my second favorite one, since it is fast dangerous and hard to hit.

Gotta love the X-Wing, and for the last time the Millenium Falcon is a freighter, NOT a fighter. If we were talking about the best ships in the galaxy of any kind obviously the Falcon would win hands down.

What exactly is the advantage of a gyroscopic rotating cockpit? I mean, I love the B-wing. It's a super unique looking starfighter. But the rotating cockpit thing always baffled me. The only advantage I could see is if it rotated to keep all g-forces on the pilot positive in maneuvering. I don't really see that happening in the animations. Plus that would make piloting the B-wing a difficult and disorienting experience at best, as your "control surfaces" are always changing their relative positions in relationship to pilot orientation. Also, considering the cockpit's location in relationship to the center of thrust, having the cockpit rotate while the body is in motion would put other necessary stresses on the pilot due to centrifugal force. In other words, a fixed cockpit close to the COM/COT and skilled maneuvering is always a better plan.
