How about man united start not overpaying for below par performances and start making performance goals for the big pay wage.

Why would you leave? Someone gives you a contract with insane wages that no other club is stupid enough to match that gives you enough for you and your family to be set for life. Would you leave?

Yes Ineos is not at fault for the former players but paying Leny Yoro 120k a week is basically continuing the time honored tradition. .

learn from the some shrewd bosses:
1. bad performance, pay cut
2. bad training attitude, pay fines

eventually when such rules stack on them, they will resign :)

The Glazers really did destroy one of Englands more historic clubs😂

I'm actually surprised McTominay is only on 60k, given how many games he's played for the club & the amount given to players these days.

As an employee I wish my company overpays me to sit on my desk everyday doing nothing. But here I am doing 80% of the critical work but underpaid

1. no club wants to play man utd players right now as they are perceived as bad attitude and no contribution on pitch
2. man utd's selling price
3. player doesnt want to leave for all kinds of reasons including wage cut(same happens to bank execs who lose their jobs and cant find another job in the industry)
4. the main reason: ETH doesnt seem to know the kind of Man Utd he wants, or the kind of Man Utd he is able to build, and thats despite after being at the club for that long

Of course they want to stay. With this wages and without playing regulary ( some of them ) .

Similar to our issue when trying to get ageing and poor preforming players out, we gave mid players top contacts that don't reflect their performances. It'll be a few years of pain untill their deals are done or terminating deals to let them move for free

You pay off contracts.... painful, but it works.

Put aside whether they are value for money- imagine being in the dressing room knowing the guy sitting next to you is earning 3 times more money than you... It's how you breed resentment; especially if you're performing better than they are! The Premier League need to introduce a player's pay-scale that every club has to follow before salaries get any more out of control. Could just be as simple as level 1 (£100k) Level 2 (£150k) and Level 3 (£200k) and you move up a level every 2 years [if their performance and progression warrants it].

PL owners pay agent fees?!?! Say what you will about American sports, but they sure as hell don’t pay a players agent. The player is responsible for that fee. Imagine the millions wasted on those fees. It’s absurd to think why they do that.

A problem of United’s own making obviously. These guys will superglue themselves to the changing room walls by the testis rather than move to any other club for a realistic fee and wages.

Sit tight, take the money and let your contract run down. It’ll be up to Utd to fight the FFP case in court or just stop recruiting.

I do believe that every top team needs at least 2 players in every position, so if all goes well, 4 cb's of Martinez, Yoro, Branthwaite and Maguire isn't terrible, assuming Maguire is firmly 4th choice and used in cup ganes against lower level opposition, or in games against bigger, slower, route one sides. Something tells me though, that ETH's 1st choice partnership will be Maguire & Martinez while Yoro settles in...

Possible they are keeping all and rotating squad for cup games and other competitions if ETH is prioritizing rotation in defense
