I use it on the browser because:
- it loads faster
- I have my browser open all the time so doesnt makes any sense opening discord app
- easier tab switching (I dont need to keep going from browser to discord to see what my friend sent)

Browser is much better for some reason, my audio pickup in the app is really bad, but in the browser is good, really weird.

All I care about are performance and privacy/security. As far as I know the desktop to app is a greater privacy/security risk, but I have no clue which performs better. Probably going to use the browser regardless unless desktop app performance is substantially better.

Wrong conclusion, you did'nt take the performance into account. Discord app being horribly optimized will use serious amounts of cpu usage, which will be very noticable on a laptop for example. Therefore Browser is the winner

For me, I have no option. Where I live, (UAE) most VoIP apps are banned. Whatsapp Calls, Messenger Calls, Discord, everything. For some reason, on chrome I can use voice without having to use a VPN which comes very handy. Unfortunately, I can't access Global PTT on Discord Chrome which is really important to me so I have to pay for a VPN that has split-tunneling so that I can allow it to only use the discord app.

i use discord browser cause
- i don't have to download anything (nice and not-space-takey-uppy)
- i can switch from one thing to another pretty quick

although i'd like to have game activity and easier streaming and stuff

the app memory usage is ridiculous and its getting worse, at least on my and my friends PC's. I get much better overall performance when using the browser version.

I don't disagree but I like to use browser since I have better access to YouTube videos such as this while chatting with friends without having the trouble of downloading anything or to switch things entirely. Keep in mind it's matter of opinion! I like both but I like using browser. Much love and support to all though!

As a discord Moderator for many servers, I find the web version much more convenient than the app (for me lol).

positives: The main thing i find useful is the fact that I can have multiple tabs open of many specific places to message and switch between them lightspeed

negatives: performs slower according to the discord devs (I digress) and could have some security compromises.
big negative: lack of certain features such as Krisp Noise suppression.
