Java Serial Port Communication using NetBeans with GUI - 1. Sends Data

This is a new video series about java serial communication. I used NetBeans for the IDE cause it is easy as well as commonly used by people. Also, I using JFrame Form to create the GUI, I think that this is more implement than only a code without any user interface.

This first video is about sending data. And the data receiver will be in the second part of the video series.

Question: Why do you have to open 2 serial ports? Can you just let Tera Term listen to com2 while write data to com2 outputStream?
