How to pot up Phalaenopsis Gigantea species orchid into semi hydro

I'm re-potting my phalaenopsis Gigantea into semi hydro. I got him about two weeks ago. I like to remove them from the media inspect the root system. Check for pest. Then set them up in my semi hydro set. Hope you guys enjoy this video

How's your gigantea doing now? Someone told me they don't like their roots disturbed and are a little delicate when it comes to repotting. When I transferred mine to s/h it died shortly afterwards, but I think it was too young when did it. I got another one, but am waiting till it's a little more mature before I make the transition. Thanks for sharing ;)
