"Controversial televangelist Pat Robertson on Thursday took some time out during his daily television show to offer advice to a twice-divorced woman: You pick losers and shouldn't remarry.

The Christian media mogul made the comments during the write-in segment of his show "The 700 Club" on Dec. 5.

Viewer "Melody" asked Robertson if she was going to be in trouble with God due to multiple divorces.

"What is God's view on divorce?" Melody asked. "All of my marriages failed. I tried really hard to make them work, but the last husband wouldn't work or pay the bills, and the guy before him was an alcoholic. Will I go to hell if I marry again? Will I be classified as an adulteress?""* Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, John Iadarola, and Jimmy Dore break it down on The Young Turks.

Wow, Pat was right on with this one. He actually gave good advice to this woman to work on her and not go out to find the next loser to fill some void in her life. I guess they gave that at the end with the whole god thing, hang with god and not the pieces of shit you find at a bar or club.

WOW!!! I actually agree with Ana and Jimmy on this. Eveyone is paying too much attention to the style of what he said, instead of the substance of what he said. I don't think there was anything wrong with what Pat has said, at least not this time around. I think everyone should look inward first, to discover the reasons why they are in their present situation. Especially, when similiar negative results continue to occur over and over again in your life. He has simply told the woman to do a self evaluation before moving forward in that aspect of her life. Pat Robertson has said some pretty flippy things in his time, but this isn't one of them.

As much as I dislike him, I found nothing wrong with what he was telling that women. It's always a shock when stupid doesn't come out of his mouth.

Can someone tell me the name of the black man? He was spot on. They should have him on the show full time. Religion teaches women self-destructive behaviors and then condemns them when they fail.

Probably the only time I agree with Pat for more than 50% of the shit that comes out of his mouth.

Congratulations Pat, I feel a little bit dirtier.

Anyone else get the sense that Ana has had a recent breakup.

Pat Robertson is an expert on creating a hell on Earth.

"If you don't make the darkness inside you conscious, it appears externally as fate."
- Jimmy Dore

I googled that like crazy. Only the first part of that quote belongs to Jung. The part about it appearing externally as fate is all Jimmy Dore, and I love how he phrased it.

Poor Melody. This was more comical than anything. He didn't give any advice - it was more like a roast.

LMAO.  He's right but he shouldn't have said she wasn't Marriage Material.  But everything else was spot on.

I love the girl with the glasses, chewing gum, texting the entire time JR was talking.
She looked so bored the entire time and like she just didn't give two fucks.
Love her. New fave TYT staff member....

What I liked that Pat Robertson said, was that she won't go to hell but that she should not create her own hell on earth. That may well be the most right thing he's ever said.

He is not wrong on this, if you're picking wrong people then maybe you should work on that

If you can't be happy as a single person who doesn't need sexual entanglements or even marriage to make you happy, being married isn't going to magically fix those problems. All you're going to do is add somebody else's problems to yours, and the spouses probably wouldn't want to be dealing with your problems if they can't handle their own.

Best advice to those going through the marriage-go-round and not finding any happiness in your multiple spouses...STAY UNMARRIED. Find a better class of friends who's going to care about you more as a person than as a body to warm their bed with, or worse, as their personal punching bag.
