thank you so much for this, my professor didn’t properly explain this and there weren’t clear examples in my textbook.

No problem, I hope it was helpful! If you want to find the derivative of the cubed root of x, the trick is to change the way that we write our original function. We can rewrite the cubed root of x as x^(1/3). From there we can use the power rule like we usually do...We take the exponent (1/3) and that becomes our coefficient out front of x. As for the exponent we subtract 1 from 1/3 which gives us -2/3. So we end up with (1/3)x^(-2/3) or 1/(3x^(2/3)). Let me know if this makes things clearer :)

How would you attack a problem that had a sum in the denominator, all the examples had multiplication in the denominator but the questions I have problems with have a sum in them ex(3x/x^2+4)

Thank you, I was having a small doubt, you clarified it

hey how would u find f'(x) from
f(x)= 4x^3/9
and
f(x)= 4x^3 (3x^2-2x+1)

Wait on the last problem how did you get 2 as a coefficient in the denominator

Thank you for the video! How would you go about it if you got something like cube root of x?

Why do you only derivative the x and not the 7
