I don’t understand these women. Complaining about getting approached. Im 30, have never been approached before, and can’t imagine treating guys horribly for it. THEN they complain to the women who never get approached about this and oh boy does it ruffle my feathers. Guys give up cause of the jerk girls, then the more timid girls never get approached cause these girls have scared away the guys. Don’t lose heart guys, there’s a lot of women out there nothing like these rude girls. We are hurting and lonely and don’t find peace in being alone. Hearing guys say they’ve given up breaks my heart in so many ways, and honestly, it kills my hopes as well

Being offended by the highest complement a man can give a woman is pure insanity. The act of approaching a woman is a statement in itself that they see something in her worth taking on the massive risks involved in trying to initiate some form of relationship.

It's not "I am entitled to this woman." It is "I hope she will give me a chance to earn her affection."

she's so right. if the guy is approaching you with politeness and just wanting to get to know you, don't just flip out bc they are being "inconvenient" to you. they don't know you and don't know if they are being inconvenient or not (unless it's in a clearly inconvenient situation). be polite back and reject them if you want, but do so as any other decent human being. if the guy starts insisting and actually being intitled and creepy than you have every right to be mad at them! no means no, but being an asshole out of nowhere is another story.

I'm a 50-something widow. It has been three years since my wonderful husband died. And a couple decades since I was single.

A few months ago, I was approached by a younger guy while I was shopping. I was so flattered and impressed he even made an attempt. I gave him my number and he did contact me.

His biggest concern was I'd think he was creepy. Not even. This is how it used to be done.

Take the compliment at face value. If you aren't interested, thank the guy for his interest, and politely decline. A genuine smile and kind word costs nothing, but that doesn't diminish it's value.
