MAKEUP BASICS: HOW TO DO WING EYELINER LIKE A PRO

I see so many tutorials and steps on how to get liquid winged eyeliner that make is so complicated, or show so many silly or potentially dangerous ways to do things that a makeup artist would never do. I want to teach you guys an "easy winged liner" technique. You can be a winged liner pro, on your face and if you mess up just wipe it off, apply some concealer and eyeshadow or face powder again, and start all over!

STEP 1. Apply foundation, concealer (and or primer) i just like using concealer because it covers up all the colors of the thin skin n your eyelid that usually looks red, pink or purpley.

STEP 2. Apply face powder or setting powder. This is going to make sure that your liquid eyeliner is going to stay put. If you don't do this and really dry out the skin of the area where you are going to place the eyeliner, it will smudge and melt off and make a mess eventually.

STEP 3. Apply your liquid eyeliner, like I show in the video. I prefer a felt tip applicator. Brushes are harder to use because they can wobble so much, giving you wonky and crooked eyeliner lines.

I forgot to mention, if you like a longer-pointier wing, you can do that too, just elongate the point. That's just personal preference and depends on the look you're going for. This is just to nail the wing liner and wing angle placement, the details of how long or pointy you want your wing is all up to your personal choice! Have fun winging your eyes guys! I think the key to do wing eyelines like a pro is to practice! The tips are there but you need to practice and imrpve your tecniques and skills.
