I was incredibly fortunate to see Alan Rickman on stage in Les Liaisons dangereuses when he was relatively unknown. Three rows in, I was spellbound by the sword fight. As I left the theater, I realized, the reason I was so absorbed was his performance. This happened over 30 years ago and it remains one oil the finest stage performances that I have ever seen.

Please remember him? How could I ever forget him? His range was startlingly broad and his depth was unfathomable. Forever etched in my mind is the scene in "Love Actually" where Laura Linney's character is asking him if people in the office knew she was so enamored of Carl and for how long. He only had one word answers to each of her questions; "yes". But his body language and facial expressions were so articulate that he was able to convey the line and several other lines of subtext simultaneously. Truly amazing acting skills and yet such a kind human with the most unforgettable voice.

I sincerely truly hope Alan Rickman will never ever be forgotten ever! His body of work, his charming wit, his smile, that deep voice, etc. He was taken way too soon definitely 😢Miss seeing his presence on screen! Glad for his existing catalog of great works but I just wish he coulda played a vampire or a Bond villain! #RIPAlanRickman!

There are certain words I just LOVE hearing him saying. Oof- “behavior” is one of them for sure. But I just love hearing him talk, I love his unusual inflections and his entire face. He’s perfection. SO lucky I got to meet him. Twice. I wish so badly he was still here with us.
