This is crazy. Cameras NEED to be EVERYWHERE on ships except rooms. Would help with cases like this. Also only very few employees should know where blind spots are...People going missing is inexcusable. Carnival should not have been allowed to sail again until he was found...The fact that they allowed to go on the next sailing is crazy.

I believe the same way hotels have secret passages/ hidden tunnels the ships do as well.

Chilling story.. Hope Kevin is okay, or at least be found so that there can be some closure to the family.

I go on board ships all the time for work as a contractor/visitor. Whether it's in port for a day, a sailing with passengers on board, a dry sock in the boatyard, or even crossings with only crew on board at the time, they always have a record of who's on board, when you get off, when you get on, when your rooms is accessed, etc. . I've probably been on 30+ ships all over the world over the past 8 years. There's no way he woke up early and "snuck off the ship to avoid his family". Ideally, sure he could, but there would be a record and video of him leaving. He would need to scan his cruise card or whatever carnival uses. Someone just can't embark and disembark from a ship without there being record. This is why when passengers don't return on time from a day in port and the ship is ready to leave, they know how many passengers aren't back yet and exactly who that is. I also see people saying he might be in a suitcase, which is possible, but then what would that person have done it's the items they initially brought on board in the suitcase? Leave it behind? Throw it away? Gift it to the cabin steward? That should raise suspicion when someone finds a whole suitcase worth of belongings just tossed aside. I feel that he either did go overboard, wether it was by choice, accident or foul play, and that unfortunately it just wasn't noticed. As much security that's on board, and as many cameras as there are, not every inch of the ship is under surveillance. I once had a contractor on a ship that I was working on that was under dry dock, follow me to my cabin, knowing I was there with my husband, and try to force his way into our cabin. There was a brief altercation and I had to call security. There was no trace of him following us to the room and it ended up being he said, she said. Had I been there alone, maybe I'd be missing as well. Some ships feel like once their in open waters, they're free from the liability but that's not the case. If someone on the crew happened to do something to him, I hope it's found and they're held accountable. The crew can be just as creepy sometimes. I had a guy who although I kept telling him that we didn't need our room serviced, he would keep popping up in y my room,

I believe that he was killed for whatever reason, and he was placed in a suitcase of some kind and rolled off the ship. I can’t believe that the police allowed everyone to leave the ship without checking everyone’s luggage.

My theory is that he went out the ship through either laundry basket, food or freezer container, either helped by a cruise member. There should be cameras in these areas as well

There's been way too many young adults disappearing in the last 2 years. Somebody needs to investigate the FBI involved.

Human trafficking, be careful when making friends on a cruise ship. Especially cruise employees.

I was on the ship and it's weird that they made an announcement of a missing girl but said nothing abt a male. Then as the morning progressed, we heard nothing further abt the girls name they called at 6am (over intercoms in rooms which they never do that early unless emergency). There was never a message abt him missing and we found out the next day when it made the news. I got off the boat around 930 am and nothing abt this young man!

I just saw a story about woman named Tamia Taylor who disappeared from a Memphis Riverboats cruise on the Mississippi River over the weekend. Pretty much like Mr. McGrath. Just gone without a trace. 09/10/23 The authorities don't believe she went over board.

My deepest sympathy for these families and loved ones. I can't imagine the overwhelming sense helplessness in this situation. It's unthinkable and not a mystery that anyone wants to endure.
