Boris Johnson's plan is for a Trump-deal Brexit, says Corbyn

Jeremy Corbyn responds in the Commons to Boris Johnson's Brexit plan, calling it a rehashed version of previously rejected proposals that would trigger a 'race to the bottom' on worker, consumer and enviornmental rights. He asks if and when the PM will publish the full legal text of the plan, which he says would damage the economy of Northern Ireland and put the Good Friday agreement at risk. The government wants a Trump-deal Brexit, he concludes.

This deal is pure electioneering. The EU will never accept any deal that goes backwards on what has already been agreed in principle. Johnson knows this - that's the whole point of this deal. He never had any intention of seriously trying to reach a deal and without the Supreme Court's decision, I doubt if we'd have heard any official announcement of a proposed deal at all.

I really hope that this Government is as certain as they can be that when we leave without a deal, as we are now almost certain to, that we are going to find ourselves in another green field. Because Brexit is irreversible, and if we find ourselves in a desert filled with pockets of quicksand instead, it spells big trouble for everyone except the most wealthy.

Sickened by Corbyn putting his own election ambitions above the countrys wellbeing, we need a second refferendum, BEFORE any general election, plenty of people who are anti brexit are never going to vote for him, even at the cost of a no deal brexit, He should put an election on hold till after a second refferendum on brexit.
